Acupuncture and Acupressure
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the body has twelve lines of energy, called meridians. To achieve a healthy mind, body, and spirit, energy must be able to flow smoothly through the maridians, and illnesses can be traced to points on the maridians that have been blocked. Acupuncture and acupressure can help open the lines of energy and promote healing. The meridians are associated with organs of the body, as well as the elements of earth, metal, water, wood, and fire. They have associations with colors, flavors, foods, odors, sounds, body parts, emotions, climates, seasons, and times of day. It is an extremely complicated art.
If you can find a good animal acupuncture practitioner in your area, you can consult them about any of your rabbit’s health issues. Acupuncture can also be used safely in conjunction with western medicine, but be sure to tell both veterinarians about all types of treatment your bunny is receiving.
